Petite pregnancy style - what I wore, week 17 - a bit of colour

Firstly, apologies for photo quality - am working on this, clearly the environmentally-friendly bulb in the bedroom is not clearly not condusive to good pics!

Monday: Starting the week with some bright colour - as it turned out, wow did I need some uplifting colour at work that day!  Bright red jersey dress - from Mothercare. Got lots of nice compliments, so perhaps could have said it came from somewhere more chic!

Petite pregnancy style - what I wore, week 16

Petite Pregnancy Style

Diane Von Furstenburg silk top, H&M belly-band to disguise zip fully down on Mango shorts, Zara patent wedge ankle strap shoes

Petite Pregnancy Style

The pattern on the blouse disguises the bump for now, plus it has a bit of volume, balanced by slim-fitting shorts.

Petite Pregnancy Style

French connection top, Oliver Bonas belt, All Saints cropped flared trousers, LK Bennet patent/leather stiletto "shoots"

 Proportions a bit off?

Petite Pregnancy Style

Ah, the old pregnancy style staple - a wrap dress!  Black sleeveless wrap dress (had this for so long, it has lost its label!  An old favourite), Carvela wedges.  Gosh, the bump is growing!

But from the front you can barely tell.... The cleavage does seem to be trying to keep up proportionately with the tummy - I bought a pack of 2 bandeau tops from Next (one white, one black)- couldn't find them online, however Lipsy have one similar, or else a Topshop textured bandeau top looks fab too.  Great for keeping the "girls" under control and me decent for work!

Do "pregnant"+style" go together? - let alone "petite"!

Not all these ladies are petites, but all rocking style with bump - these outfits will all work on petites as well as taller gals...

Nicole Richie, empire-line maxi, gorgeous

Nicole Richie, one of my favourite boho style gals.  Proving a bump doesn't mean you can't show off your gorgeous pins.  The scarf is a good distraction tactic over the bump.

Jessica Alba - not a petite at 5'7", but this look would work on petites too.  Simple and chic.

Jessica Alba - empire line cocktail dress, just enough volume in the chiffon skirt, and just the right amount of hormone-boosted cleavage

Karolina Kurkova is definitely not petite, but I don't get why pregnancy is supposed to mean ditching heels.  They keep lengthening legs, to balance the roundness on top.  The look on the left isn't for everybody, the jeans and t-shirt with cool fringed kimono jacket and heels is easy and should work easily (could swap fringed kimono jacket for blazer or cropped jacket).

I'm at 15 and a half weeks and looking for inspiration - I'm open to suggestions!
